Dr. Mercedeh Motameni

Dr. Motameni received her Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1990. She then started her residency program at the Southern California College of Optometry in the area of Pediatric Vision Care and Vision Therapy. After the residency program she continued her affiliation with the College of optometry as an instructor.
Later on, she was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. |
Dr. Motameni is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and past President of South Bay Optometric Society. Her clinical emphasis are in the areas of pediatric eyecare, contact lenses, eye diseases and vision therapy. In 1996, Dr. Motameni was named as the Young Optometrist of the Year by the California Optometric Association.
She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and College of Optometrist in Vision Development.

Dario A. Gonzalez, Optician
Dario has been working in the optical industry for the past 30 years. He joined our practice 22 years ago. Dario is a skilled technician with vast knowledge of lens design and frame style.
Kathleen Bissell, Optician
Kathleen joined our practice in 2005. She has been working in the optical industry since 1991. Kathleen was certified by the American Board of Opticianry in 1999. In 2008, she received her certification from National Contact Lens Examiners. When calling our office she will probably be the first person you will come in contact with. Besides her optical expertise, she is very knowledgeable of various insurance plans. If you have questions about your vision plan Kathy is the person to call.
Sofia Savage
Sofia has been working with us for the past 8 years. She assists Dario and Kathy with patient file preparation and office work. She has completed a course in optical techniques. Sofia assists patients in frame selection and manages our frame boards.
